While most LED panels are classified as safety, I'd like to make sure it has a method to plug it into and then turn off the power to it, making it as hard for children to mistakenly plug them in as possible. I have looked through the manufacturer's safety information and specifications of the TV and cannot find anything. I know in the past you could buy a remote that lets you turn it off, but in terms of making a little more secure, the number of buttons on it is quite daunting and I have never tried one of those. So, does anyone know if these TVs are regulated to automatically turn off when the power is removed? A: Yes. In the linked PDF you'll see that the TV you're buying does indeed turn off after power loss. The reason is not because it's dangerous (it's not, even if it does look dangerous) but because if you were to turn it on then it would take at least 3-5 minutes to get to a usable state - just the time needed to power up the majority of the way, just in case you didn't. The reason it does this is because the power source is rather straightforward - a couple of drivers, a chip, and a few resistors. There is no other control devices and so it's as safe as a TV from a power supply standpoint. (As a side note - TVs don't usually provide any power to the screen to backlight, that comes from elsewhere) What is far more dangerous, though, is the content. I don't know what you're looking for in the safety section of your PDF, but it would be the cable inputs (if you connect to those, you're effectively broadcasting to the world, and a child with his fingers in a socket could feed you their worst nightmare). Polygonal Lasso Allows you to quickly select and modify certain areas of an image by drawing a closed polygon over the area you want to modify. Grow a Brush Grow a Brush allows you to double the size of a brush after you make a selection. To activate this, click on the Brush Tool icon from the Tools tab (or press U). Here, you can customize your painting tool, like brush opacity, brush size, line width, etc. and change the tools on the palette of your choice. Layers The Layers panel is a useful tool for organizing your image and keeping the original and edited versions of an image separate. It allows you to place and move layers on top of each other, as well as toggle the visibility of a layer. Brush Tool Paintbrush is a tool for quickly drawing an object or brushstrokes. When you first open Photoshop, you'll have two different brush tools: the Brush and the Pencil tool.
