a5c7b9f00b Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge. This movie is tentatively titled "Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen". Currently it is theorized that the antagonist, the Blood Queen, will be based on Mike Mignola's character of Nimue, Queen of Blood, a witch who was featured in the Hellboy comic "The Wild Hunt #2". It is currently unknown if the character of Johann Krauss introduced in Hellboy II: The Golden Army will be reprised. As this film is a reboot and not a third installment of Guillermo Del Toro's series, the storyline will be different from the previous films, and the featured members of the B.P.R.D. team may change as well. As this film is a reboot and not a third installment of Guillermo Del Toro's series, the storyline will be different from the previous films. It is rumored that the storyline may follow the comic universe more closely, in which Hellboy and Liz Sherman are only friends and not in a romantic relationship. If this is the case, it is unlikely that there will be any children by Hellboy in this film. Ron Perlman will not be reprising his role as Hellboy in this film. The role has been taken on by "Stranger Things" actor David Harbour. Few details have been revealed yet, but it is thought that this film will be live-action, and it is rumored that there may be heavy mo-cap use in order to have the characters and scenes more closely resemble Mignola's art style. However, this is currently speculation only.
